Costa Rica is a country  located in Central America, recognized for its scenic beauty and biodiversity, four kinds of tropical forest, beautiful beaches on both coasts, seventeen micro climates, 855 species of birds, 221 species of animals and 12 000 species of plants. These are just some of the natural assets of this small paradise.

 Costa Rica has no army since it was constitutionally abolished in 1949. It has been blessed with a consolidated system of protected areas, high educational levels, political stability and a legacy of peace and democracy. Costa Rican people are  commonly known as "ticos".

 A perennial spring like climate and an  average temperature of 22 C or 72 F, makes Costa Rica a very attractive tropical setting. San José has a large number of excelent museums, restaurants, pubs &theaters.
