J -Term 2009 Online December 7th thru 19th 2008, Field Course Jan 5th thru 17th 2009 Summer 2009 Online July 20th thru 31st 2009, Field Course August 3rd thru 15th 2009 • Program Description: 2 weeks On line/ 2 weeks on sight with lectures and field sessions • Hours and credits: 15 on line hours, 30 lecture hours, 20 field session hours (5 credits) Program Objectives: The purpose of this program is to expose exchange students to: • General comprehension of key gender issues and women’s lives in Costa Rica . • Overview of Costa Rican women’s issues projects through field trips and visits to NGO’s that work with gender issues. • The importance of Government support to women’s issues.
